Drs. Jerod and Aspen Dawson are Chiropractors who focus on restoring the body to heath naturally, by creating balance in the spine and nervous system. They educate the community on the importance of a wellness lifestyle, which includes a balanced nervous system, proper diet and exercise, and a healthy mental attitude. Their mission is to educate and empower as many people as possible to experience their optimal health potential. They speak regularly to local schools, businesses, and organizations on health, wellness, and safety topics.
Dr. Jerod Dawson received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree and B.S. in Biology from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, MO in December 2007. While there he received the top honors of Clinic Excellence and Clinic Service Awards. Dr. Jerod also had the privilege of participating in externships at both Truman Medical Center and Kansas City Veterans Hospital. Prior to his studies at CCC-KC, Dr. Jerod was a student-athlete at Lubbock Christian College where he majored in biology and was a member of the Chaparral’s basketball team. He has continued his athletics adventures and now participates in cycling races and triathlons. He has taken numerous additional hours in seminars relating to sport injuries, athletics, rehabilitation, and orthotics. He specializes in biomechanical changes, extremity adjusting, muscle balancing, and exercise plans. He also participates in many young athletes lives by providing them with low-cost school physicals ($30 with $20 donated back to school/sport of choice). His techniques include manual adjusting, diversified, myofacial release therapy, and extremity adjusting. In his free time, he enjoys helping to lead bicycle group rides, teaching cycling classes at Chilson, being outdoors and spending time with his wonderful wife.
Dr. Aspen Dawson received her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, MO in December 2006, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Prior to her studies at CCC-KC, Dr. Aspen was a student at the University of Northern Colorado where she received her B.A. in Dietetics and was a member of the UNC Swim Team. She later went on to do a Dietetic internship in Oregon to become a registered dietitian. Following graduation from CCC-KC, Dr. Aspen went on and did numerous hours of post-education work in family wellness, pediatrics, and women’s health. She received her certification status from the Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics in the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice. Dr. Aspen was raised in Loveland, CO. Her techniques include: advanced proficient in Activator www.activator.com, certified in Webster technique (a technique for pregnant women to decrease intrauterine constraint www.icpa4kids.com), diversified, SOT, and cranial-sacral. She believes that all children should get checked for Chiropractic and encourages families to be pro-active in their healthcare and their children's healthcare. She also specializes in functional nutrition which involves helping with hormone balancing (both women and men), weight management, GI disturbances, food allergies, and specific nutrition diets. Our office is equipped to do saliva testing, stool analysis, hair analysis, and labs in order to obtain as much information as possible for each individual. In her free time she enjoys the outdoors hiking and camping, teaching cycling classes at Miramont and Gold's gym, running, reading, being active in her church, and spending time with her amazing husband.
Drs. Jerod and Aspen Dawson have studied numerous safe and effective chiropractic adjusting and treatment techniques.
